Choose content and presentation in the editor
Insert a sitemap block, choose its content and layout, and preview the result in the editor before publishing. Content and Grouped sitemaps support custom post types and taxonomies. Use taxonomy-term filters, automatic child-page exclusion, and per-section ordering, limits, and include or exclude rules to shape what appears.
Optional visitor search is available for Content and Grouped sitemaps in blocks and shortcodes. It filters the entries currently displayed while matching entries retain their hierarchy or topic context. When linked pagination is enabled, search applies to the current result page only; it does not search other result pages or the whole site.
Combine various ways to browse
Dedicated blocks let you add Taxonomy Terms, Navigation Menu, Archive Links, and WooCommerce Product Sitemap content. These sections can sit alongside content lists and grouped entries on a visitor sitemap.
- Filter out content marked noindex by Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or SEOPress.
- Filter content by the current language with WPML or Polylang.
- Use enhanced Child Pages controls for subtree exclusions, excerpts, pictures, and nofollow links.
- Include hierarchical custom post types in child-page sitemaps.
- Add optional separators and compact featured-picture thumbnails to child-page sitemaps.
Present page hierarchies and responsive layouts
Child Pages displays the published hierarchy for a selected parent. Pro includes controls for excluding subtrees and showing extra page details. Responsive tab controls and horizontal layouts offer alternatives to a standard vertical list.
Use shortcodes and styling controls
Shortcodes support classic editor and page-builder workflows. Along with the Content and Grouped sitemap shortcodes, Pro includes shortcodes for child pages, taxonomy terms, and navigation menus. Each sitemap instance receives its own ID for independent configuration and styling. Interface controls adjust sitemap colours and presentation, and additional filters are available for custom development requirements.
Install and publish
Install and activate Simple Sitemap Pro through the WordPress plugin process. Add a sitemap block in the editor, pick its content and options, then publish the page. For classic editor or page-builder projects, add the appropriate sitemap shortcode and configure its settings.
