Shareaholic brings social sharing, related content, analytics, monetization and social follow tools into a WordPress dashboard. Choose the functions your site needs, then arrange them with drag-and-drop controls without coding. Selective and lazy loading loads chosen functionality when needed; it does not establish a specific page speed for every site.

The plugin works with mobile layouts, widgets, infinite scroll, post formats, HTML5 and XHTML. Share and follow buttons use SVG icons.

Share and follow

Add share buttons and counters for services such as Facebook, Pinterest, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), Reddit, LinkedIn, Gmail, Tumblr, Flipboard, Pocket, Viber, Trello and Facebook Messenger, along with other destinations. Buttons can appear beside page content or on pictures. Follow buttons can link to profiles on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Supported URL shorteners include Bitly with custom tracking, J.mp, TinyURL and Shr.lc.

Related content and monetization

Related-content tools can surface posts and products, including through Related Content Advertising Tools. Monetization options include affiliate links, outstream video ads and promoted native content. These tools provide ways to show content or ads; their presence alone does not establish audience or revenue results.

Analytics and measurement

Content analytics reports on popular pages, referral channels and top referrers. Shareaholic integrates with Google Analytics, including UTM tracking, and reports can be viewed by content, author and custom tags. These views help show how users discover stories, products, authors and sections. Assess outcomes such as purchases separately if you need to know whether visits led to them.

Paid options and setup

Paid Pro capabilities include Share Count Recovery, which can preserve counts when URLs change, site taxonomy is adjusted or a site switches to HTTPS. Other paid options include advanced analytics, premium customization options, priority support and the option of a dedicated account manager.

1. Install and activate Shareaholic in WordPress.
2. Open the Shareaholic dashboard.
3. Select the tools your site needs, such as sharing, related content, analytics, monetization or follow buttons.
4. Arrange the selected tools with the drag-and-drop interface.
5. Configure available customization, tracking and display settings.
6. Review performance and audience information in the dashboard and connected Google Analytics account.

The extension listing warns that Shareaholic has not been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases and may no longer be maintained or supported, with possible compatibility issues. Check compatibility with your installation before relying on it.
