Recipe publishing for WordPress food blogs
Recipe Card Blocks PRO is a paid edition for food bloggers using the block editor or Elementor. Recipe cards can include ingredients, directions, and nutrition facts, and the wider add-on supports AMP. PRO tools help organize recipe libraries and give readers more ways to use and respond to recipes.
Help users view and choose recipes
The Recipe Index Block creates a searchable catalog. Recipe Roundups let you curate collections around a theme, such as a season, baking, or an ingredient. Ratings Analytics reports rating distribution, activity over time, and top-rated recipes, giving website owners information about reader responses.
Give readers practical recipe controls
Adjustable Servings scales ingredient quantities in real time. Unit Conversion lets readers switch between US and metric measurements with one click. The Rating Modal and Written Reviews feature lets readers leave a written review alongside a rating.
The Equipment Block includes a place to list tools needed for a dish. An Image Gallery and Lightbox in Directions can add visual guidance to recipe steps.
Accept contributions and connect recipe content
Recipe Submissions lets websites accept visitor-submitted recipes. WooCommerce Integration connects recipe content with WooCommerce, while the Grow.me Save Recipe Button gives visitors another way to save recipes.
Social calls to action can direct readers to Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Advanced Pinterest Settings control the custom Pin image and description. Food Labels add recipe details, and Print Preview includes customizable credit text for printed copies.
Choose a recipe card style
Recipe Card Blocks PRO includes five recipe card styles, compared with three in the free version. It also has four color schemes and unlimited custom colors. These options let you adjust the appearance of recipe cards to suit your blog.
The add-on provides Schema.org structured data in JSON-LD and an inline structured data validator. It also supports Gutenberg, Elementor, AMP, WPML, recipe shortcodes, and any theme. It is identified as GDPR-compliant, does not integrate Google Fonts, and does not collect information outside the WordPress installation.
Install and set up
Install Recipe Card Blocks PRO in WordPress and open the block editor or Elementor. Add a recipe card and enter its details, ingredients, directions, and nutrition information, with equipment or media as needed. Then use the PRO settings to configure styles, colors, indexes, roundups, reviews, submissions, serving controls, and measurement conversion.
The recipe blocks work only with the new block editor. If they are not visible, check whether the Classic Editor plugin has disabled it.
