How does a user make and change a choice?
Premium Advanced Setup extends AdOpt’s WordPress cookie banner with controls for its appearance, text, and behavior across websites. The banner can ask new visitors for permission to use cookies, record their choices, and recognize consent when they return. Visitors can update or revoke a recorded choice.
AdOpt describes consent processes for LGPD, CCPA, GDPR, PIPEDA, and France’s CNIL-related requirements. Consent is one legal basis for processing personal data. A banner alone does not cover every privacy-law obligation; organizations also need to consider their data practices and any other legal bases they use.
How can you adapt the notice?
Add a logo or custom pictures to the widget, then edit links, cookie categories, descriptions, and buttons by language and regulation. Basic styling settings include RGB or HEX colors and placement in the header, corners, top, or bottom of the page.
The banner can recognize a visitor’s browser language and adapt its response to the visitor’s country, language, and regulation. Examples include a GDPR-oriented “Reject All” button and CCPA-oriented “Do not Sell” or “Do not track” wording. Visitors can choose which cookies and scripts to allow. When connected to Google Tag Manager, third-party tags can be blocked or released after approval.
How are tags and consent records managed?
A single-click site scan can list third-party tags, which you can organize with cookies into selected categories. The banner can link to company policies. Consent records include full consent, partial consent, and opt-outs; related cookie information can be imported or exported as CSV. Management data includes consent volume and opt-in or opt-out indicators, and the system can email the DPO when a visitor submits a privacy request.
How do settings work across websites and organizations?
The multiple-URL option lets visitors’ consent decisions extend across selected pages that use the same notice. You can also conceal the banner and widget after consent is recorded. For separate banners, place URLs and banners into various organizations. APIs and callbacks can connect services or a CRM with the AdOpt CookieID and related information. AMP compatibility is also included.
