Order Minimum/Maximum Amount Limits for WooCommerce Pro lets you set conditions for what a cart must contain and decide what happens when it falls outside those conditions. Configure checks for order totals, quantities, physical measurements, and product counts. When several checks apply, select whether the order must meet all of them or any one.
Choose what the cart is measured against
Set minimum and maximum values for the order sum, quantity, weight, volume, length, width, height, area, or the number of unique products, categories, and tags in the cart. For sum-based rules, use the order total or subtotal, choose whether taxes, shipping, discounts, and fees count, and round the cart sum using round, ceil, or floor. Multiple conditions can run together.
For targeted calculations, count the cart total using selected products, categories, or tags, even when other items are also in the cart. Pro can also apply or skip configured limits when specified coupons or products, categories, or tags are present. Include or exclude simple products, variable products, and variations when setting product-based conditions.
Set how clients see and meet the rules
Show custom messages on product pages, the cart, mini-cart, and checkout. Choose notice or error messages, show the first unmet condition or a message for each one, and choose where messages appear. Message placeholders can show the required and current amounts, the difference, or a fee amount; HTML is supported, as are translated messages for WPML and Polylang stores.
When a cart misses a requirement, you can restrict checkout, redirect customers to the cart, or conceal the checkout button. For maximum limits, validate the amount when a customer adds an entry, or hide the add-to-cart button on product and shop pages once a limit is reached. You can display a custom message when that button is hidden. Product-page quantity fields can use per-product minimums and maximums for their default, minimum, and maximum values.
Set requirements for guest customers, including requiring them to log in to see minimum and maximum values, and customize the message and its notice or error type.
Use Pro fees and targeted limits
Pro can let an order proceed below a minimum or above a maximum while adding a fee. Define fees by amount type, such as sum, quantity, weight, or volume, and give each fee a title suited to that type.
Apply separate minimums and maximums to selected customers, user roles, products, variations, categories, and tags. You can set either a minimum, a maximum, or both, and control priority when more than one restriction applies. Product, category, and tag limits can be edited for the relevant item or group.
Account for delivery, payment, and currency
Set minimum and maximum amounts by shipping method, shipping instance, or shipping zone, with messages for values that do not meet the shipping rule. Unavailable shipping methods can be hidden when none match the defined amounts. You can also set limits by payment gateway, show messages for mismatches, and hide gateways that do not meet the conditions.
For multi-currency stores, define limits for currencies supported by WooCommerce and choose whether currency rules take priority over other restrictions. Membership stores can use order limits with WooCommerce Memberships, MemberPress, and SUMO Memberships.
Compatibility and setup
Options include shortcodes for custom amount values, Product Bundles calculations that include bundled cart items or use a bundle price amount type, and WooCommerce Subscriptions compatibility that skips limit checks when a switching subscription item is in the cart. Currency Switcher for WooCommerce by WP Wham can supply exchange rates, and user metas can be added to the REST API.
Install the Pro add-on on a WordPress site running WooCommerce, then configure the measurements, customer messages, fees, and targeted rules that fit your shop’s purchasing conditions.
