Create a form in Gutenberg

Mailchimp Block Pro connects a Mailchimp account to WordPress and includes a Mailchimp Subscribe Form block to the Gutenberg editor. Add the block to a page or post, select an audience, and configure a signup form without writing code. Collected email addresses are stored in that audience for use with Mailchimp automation, such as newsletters, product updates, event invitations, and other campaigns.

Choose a layout and placement

The Pro edition includes five layouts: inline, modal popup, floating top bar, floating bottom bar, and an auto-popup that can appear after a defined delay. Popup timing settings control when and how the popup appears.

Forms adjust to desktop, tablet, and mobile screens. You can use multiple forms across posts, pages, and templates. Shortcode support enables placement in widgets, templates, and other areas outside the block editor where shortcodes are supported.

Set fields and appearance

Choose from ten ready-made themes, then adjust margins, padding, borders, and spacing. Upload a logo for the form. Configure fields such as first name, last name, and email, including their labels and placeholder text. Button settings cover text, color, padding, and border radius. Typography controls apply to labels, inputs, and messages. Success and error messages can each have separate color and font settings.

Insert a pattern and publish

The pattern library offers importable form patterns that you can edit after insertion. To set up a form, install and activate the add-on, then open the page or post where it should appear. In the Gutenberg editor, choose the plus icon, search for Mailchimp, and add the Mailchimp Subscribe Form block. Connect your Mailchimp account, choose an audience, and configure the layout, fields, and design before publishing. For a non-block location, use the generated shortcode where shortcode placement is supported.
