Widget placement depends on your theme
Essential Widgets Pro includes category, menu, post, and tag widgets to WordPress. Add them to the widget areas available in your theme, then adjust each widget's supported content and display settings.
Categories and tags
The Categories widget lets you set a title, taxonomy, order, category count, and post count. You can sort categories, choose whether to display them as a list, choose a feed type, and display them as text or images.
The Tags widget shows tags as a cloud or a list. Set their order, sorting, and item count, then choose the unit, separator, search option, and text type.
Menus and posts
The Menus widget places a menu in a widget area, giving selected links and website sections another place in the layout. Its placement depends on the widget areas your theme offers.
The Posts widget displays a post list. Its settings include a title, post type, item count, order, and sorting.
Other widgets in the Essential Widgets collection
The wider Essential Widgets collection also includes Archives, Authors, and Pages widgets. Archives has settings for a title, post limit, archive type, post type, and order. Authors can display an author list with a post count and selected feed type. Pages provides configurable settings for listing important pages.
These widget types can suit various site structures: author and post lists for a multi-author publication, pages and menus for a business site, or categories and tags for a content-heavy site. The available controls determine which content appears, how much is shown, and how lists are arranged.
