Flexible accordions for the block editor

Easy Accordion Block Pro includes advanced accordion and collapsible-content tools to the WordPress block editor. It is designed for FAQ sections, documentation, product specifications, pricing and policy pages, course outlines, service descriptions, and other pages where lengthy information benefits from a compact presentation.

The block uses Gutenberg components, so accordion content can be created directly in the editor without shortcodes, a page builder, or custom code. Panels can contain images, videos, buttons, columns, and other blocks. The output is designed to match the active theme and works with block themes, classic themes, and hybrid themes.

Pro tools for FAQs and long content

The Pro edition includes an FAQs block with FAQ schema markup, outputting FAQPage JSON-LD for eligible search-result enhancements. Visitors can use instant search to filter long FAQ lists as they type, while load-more controls can reveal entries in batches rather than displaying everything at once.

• Choose click, hover, or automatic playback as the activator.
• Use badges such as “New” or “50% OFF” on individual items.
• Add subheadings beneath accordion titles for supporting information.
• Link the title, complete header, or an additional icon.
• Disable selected items so they cannot be opened on the front end.
• Upload custom SVG or picture icons.
• Use the Unfold block to place long content behind Show More and Show Less controls.

Control appearance and behavior

Choose whether one panel or several panels can remain open, allow every panel to close, or set selected items to open when the page loads. Nested accordions are supported, with optional separate styling for the nested level. The block also includes more than 130 built-in SVG icons, separate expanded and collapsed icons, left- or right-side icon placement, heading icons, and premade patterns.

Responsive controls provide separate desktop, tablet, and mobile values for spacing and sizing. Configure normal, hover, and active states, along with typography, borders, radius, padding, margin, and box shadow on items, headers, and panels. Theme colour palette support helps keep designs consistent with the rest of the website.

Accessible and practical output

Easy Accordion Block includes ARIA attributes, labelled panel regions, keyboard operation with Enter, Space, Up, Down, Home, and End, and unique IDs for multiple accordions on one page. It respects reduced-motion preferences, keeps panel content readable when JavaScript is unavailable, and expands content automatically when the page is printed.

Google Fonts are requested only when selected and only in the chosen weights. Remote font loading can also be disabled through a setting or the esab_disable_google_fonts filter.

Installation and first use

Edit a WordPress page, open the plus inserter, search for “Accordion,” and insert the block. Add a heading for each item, then place the required blocks inside its panel. For an FAQ section, make one accordion item per question and use the Pro FAQ tools to organize and filter the content.
