Choose what each domain shows

Domain Mapping System Pro assigns domains to published content managed in one WordPress installation. Map posts, pages, products, custom post types, archives, categories, and custom taxonomies. Visitors see the mapped domain in the browser while viewing its assigned content.

Pro microsites group resources around a domain and let you set a homepage and inner pages for each group. This can organize sections for brands, locations, campaigns, or audiences while the content stays in the same installation. Global Domain Mapping can automatically map published content across the site; Global Parent Page Mapping and Global Archive Mapping extend that organization to related pages and archives.

Set mapping behavior

• Map subdomains to the primary WordPress site, or map subdirectory URLs to content elsewhere on the site.
• Map archives, categories, and custom taxonomies.
• Optionally redirect users to a resource's mapped domain.
• Choose global or selective URL rewriting.
• Set a favicon and custom code for each domain.

Yoast SEO integration offers custom titles, descriptions, keywords, and sitemaps for mapped domains. WooCommerce mapping covers Shop, Checkout, and Cart pages; products and product archives can also be mapped. The WooCommerce integration is described as partial.

Configure the server and plugin

Point the primary domain and each mapped domain's DNS A record to the same server. Add each mapped domain as an alias, with its root folder pointing to the WordPress installation. Then configure the add-on and assign domains to the relevant content or microsite groups. For HTTPS, configure SSL certificates for all participating domains or none; a secured site cannot show through an unsecured mapped domain.

WordPress Multisite is supported in both the free and Pro versions. Each network site can map its own domains when the network is configured properly, including a custom sunrise.php file.
