ClickCease Click Fraud Protection connects a WordPress website to ClickCease. It monitors paid traffic from Google, Facebook, and Microsoft, along with organic and direct visits. Its AI software supports click fraud protection and real-time on-site bot detection and prevention, helping identify invalid activity from bots, competitors, and malicious users that may affect advertising campaigns or marketing funnels.

Validate selected forms with Lead Shield

Lead Shield is available on websites connected to a ClickCease 2.0 account that includes the feature. Choose which Gravity Forms, WPForms, and Contact Form 7 forms to validate in the ClickCease dashboard. Verdicts are added to Gravity Forms and WPForms entries and appear in the dashboard for all three form plugins. Only selected forms are validated; other submissions are discarded.

Data used by the integration

• When Bot Zapping is active, each visitor page load sends the visitor's IP address, page URL, browser headers, and CHEQ cookie to determine whether to block the visit.
• CHEQ and ClickCease tracking scripts load in the visitor's browser to detect invalid traffic and click fraud. ClickCease tracking can be turned off in the add-on options.
• The plugin verifies ClickCease keys and sends its status, version, site domain, and logs, including visitor IP addresses, to support the installation.
• For websites with a ClickCease 2.0 account that includes Lead Shield, selected form submissions send email addresses, phone numbers, form identifiers, the ClickCease visit identifier, and the form names to CHEQ for validation.
• The plugin settings page uses Mixpanel for usage analytics linked to the ClickCease client ID.

Subscription and setup

An active ClickCease subscription is required to use the plugin. ClickCease offers a seven-day free trial for a traffic audit and to get started blocking bad traffic.

Install the plugin on the WordPress site and activate it through the Plugins menu. Enter the ClickCease API keys in the plugin settings, then click Save to enable protection.
