Business Hours Indicator Pro for WordPress
Business Hours Indicator Pro displays opening information across a WordPress site. Use blocks, shortcodes, or widgets to show schedules, and display whether a location is open or closed. Blocks and shortcodes can also display content conditionally based on that status.
How can users see a location’s hours and status?
Business Hours Indicator Pro displays opening information across a WordPress site. Use blocks, shortcodes, or widgets to show schedules, and display whether a location is open or closed. Blocks and shortcodes can also display content conditionally based on that status.
Schedules appear in a table or inline format. Group days with the same hours, highlight the current day, and choose a 12-hour or 24-hour time format. Set a preferred time zone and choose whether holiday and vacation hours appear in the output. Four widgets provide the same core types of output for widget areas. A shortcode can specify a location; if it does not, the first location is used.
How do schedules handle different locations and exceptions?
The Pro edition works with unlimited locations, multiple time slots per day, caching, and additional display options. Set regular hours for each location, then add seasonal hours, special dates with different opening times, or vacation periods. Multiple time slots let a business close for a break and reopen later.
A countdown can show the time until the next opening or closing. You can configure how far in advance an opening-soon or closing-soon message appears.
What can status messages say?
The message builder combines dynamic codes to make schedule-based messages. Show today’s hours, report that a location is closed, state when it will open again, or let visitors know that closing time is approaching. Messages can include the current time and day. Edit the open and closed messages, and customize the output with line breaks and separators.
How does it control WooCommerce orders?
For WooCommerce stores, configure the extension to disable orders and hide “Add to cart” buttons while the business is closed. Pro also includes SEO capabilities and abbreviated day names.
What can developers customize or retrieve?
The developer API can check whether a named location is open or closed and retrieve its opening hours, special opening hours, and vacation data. CSS classes are available for styling the business-hours output.
Listed frontend translations include Dutch, German, English, Greek, Spanish, Italian, French, Bulgarian, Swedish, Danish, Slovakian, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Croatian, Russian, Czech, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, Catalan, Latvian, and Hungarian.
What does setup require?
Install and activate the Pro edition in WordPress, then open its settings. Set the preferred time zone, enter locations and regular hours, and add any special dates, vacation periods, and display preferences. Place a block, shortcode, or widget where needed. For WooCommerce, configure the closed-state order and cart controls. The listed requirements are PHP 7.0 or higher and WordPress 3.7 or higher.
