Publish announcements across a WordPress website
Bulletin Pro extends Bulletin, an announcement bar add-on for WordPress sites and WooCommerce stores. Use it for sale offers, shop notices, event countdowns, emergency updates, cookie notices, product news, or a new website section. The base Bulletin add-on works with unlimited bulletins, markdown, emoji, and Customizer settings. Pro includes further display, targeting, timing, interaction, and styling controls.
Choose a display and audience
Place a bulletin in the header, float it at the bottom of the screen, or use a sticky footer. Pro also adds a corner display type. Configure desktop and mobile messages, background and text colors, content width, text alignment, and font size to fit the page layout.
Pro can display a bulletin on selected pages or according to URL and visitor conditions, including a setting for logged-in users. WordPress Network support lets you specify a bulletin for display across all subsites.
Set messages and actions
Add multiple messages to one bulletin and rotate through them or show them in a marquee style. Buttons can link to another destination or trigger a JavaScript event, and button effects can be used to draw attention to an action. Custom icons and Google Fonts provide additional presentation settings.
Set timing and dismissal
For time-sensitive announcements, use a live countdown with scheduling and expiry functions. Visitors can close a bulletin with a dismissal icon, and you can set how long it stays hidden.
Style and preview the bulletin
Pro allows additional CSS for each bulletin, which can help adjust a layout around a fixed header or other interface components. Coding is not needed for normal setup, though a developer may be useful if a bulletin conflicts with the active theme.
- Install Bulletin in WordPress and activate the Pro edition.
- Create a bulletin and enter its message.
- Choose the display position, colors, typography, icon, and any button.
- Set page or user conditions, multiple messages, scheduling, countdown, expiry, or dismissal as needed.
- Preview the bulletin, adjust custom CSS if needed, and publish it.
A Pro license includes automatic updates and priority support, according to the publisher.
