Visitors can listen to this content instead of reading it on screen.

The base plugin uses the visitor’s browser speech synthesis, so available voices and languages depend on the browser and operating system. Pro includes AtlasVoice’s own AI voice engine, MP3 generation, and integrations with other text-to-speech providers.
Choose a voice engine
Connect a provider in the Integration menu, choose its player in Customization, then choose a voice and language in Listening. Provider capabilities and language availability vary.
- AtlasVoice TTS Pro: The included engine offers voices in 81 languages, smart sentence splitting, and MP3 generation. It requires no separate provider account or extra API cost.
- Google Cloud Text to Speech: Offers 300 or more voices across 90 or more languages, including Neural2, WaveNet, and Standard voice types. Google bills for usage.
- OpenAI Text to Speech: Includes the Alloy, Echo, Fable, Nova, Onyx, and Shimmer voices, with Standard (tts-1) and HD (tts-1-hd) models. OpenAI bills for usage.
- ElevenLabs Text to Speech: Offers more than 100 premium voices, with controls for stability, similarity boost, style, and speed. ElevenLabs bills according to usage.
Generate and manage audio
Generate MP3 documents for individual posts or use the bulk action in the WordPress posts list to process hundreds of posts at once. Long articles are split into chunks and combined into one MP3. Visitors can download audio for offline listening, and you can upload a pre-recorded MP3 for a post.
Control what the player reads by adding text before or after the content and including or excluding the post title and excerpt. Pro can read dynamically rendered content from the page DOM, target elements with CSS selectors, and exclude specific words or phrases, HTML tags, posts, categories, or tags. Before playback, the plugin can remove special characters, URLs, shortcodes, and HTML tags from the text.
Pro can back up generated MP3 files to Google Cloud Storage for any of the supported voice providers. Set up a Google Cloud service account JSON file in the Integration menu to use this backup.
Configure playback and multilingual content
Choose among six player styles. Pro players use a responsive HTML5 audio player with a progress bar, volume and speed controls, and a download button. Read-along highlighting can follow each sentence, or each word with supported Google Cloud and ElevenLabs voices. It is off by default.
Pro works with WPML, GTranslate, TranslatePress, and Polylang, with language detection that adjusts the voice when the page language changes. Audio gives users who prefer listening or have visual impairments, dyslexia, or reading difficulties another way to access text. The capability is described as supporting WCAG 2.1 and ADA goals; audio playback alone does not establish compliance.
The advanced analytics dashboard includes listening funnels, browser, device and operating system breakdowns, popular posts, peak listening hours, and listening trends. Filter analytics by post ID or date range. Provider usage tools display ElevenLabs character and subscription data and provide access to Google Cloud and OpenAI usage dashboards.
Developer tools and compatibility
Pro includes more than 50 filters and hooks and a REST API in the tta_pro/v1 namespace for programmatic audio generation. The plugin supports custom post types and compatibility with Advanced Custom Fields, Custom Post Type UI, Toolset Types, Elementor, Avada, WPBakery, Divi, caching extensions, and the listed multilingual add-ons.
Use the [atlasvoice] shortcode to place a player in content, or set a voice and language for a player with [atlasvoice lang="en-GB" voice="Google UK English"].
