Create and place snippets

WP Coder Pro offers a tabbed dashboard editor for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with CodeMirror syntax highlighting. Create and manage snippets without editing theme files. Developers can test hooks or debug, marketers can add tracking scripts, and designers or bloggers can adjust layouts and site interactions.

Place a snippet with the Gutenberg block, which works with custom attributes and live preview, or use the shortcode [wp_code id="X"]. HTML and CSS previews are available in the backend and Gutenberg without a page reload.

Choose where PHP runs

PHP execution options determine whether a snippet runs in the admin area, on the front end, everywhere, or only where it is inserted. These settings let you match execution to the intended use of the code. External libraries can also be included, such as Google Fonts and CDN scripts or styles.

Test Mode lets you preview snippets before they go live. For front-end code, WP Coder Pro includes CSS and JavaScript minification, JavaScript obfuscation with Dean Edwards’ Packer, and settings to load scripts with async or defer. Import and export tools support moving snippets and settings between websites.

Manage tracking and content tools

Integrations cover Google Tag Manager, with user-role controls, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Pinterest Pixel, and Google AdSense. AdSense can be disabled for selected user roles.

The Markdown Editor uses CodeMirror and replaces Gutenberg and TinyMCE while it is in use. You can conceal editor tabs you do not need, and add NAV comments as inline navigation markers for code editing.

Use WordPress administration utilities

  • Enable, disable, or clear the WordPress debug log.
  • Show request details in the Admin Bar, including the template, query type, object, and body classes. This tool is available to administrators.
  • Switch between installed themes from the Admin Bar.
  • Use included snippets for editor and content settings, login and user access, media, embeds, and core functionality.
  • Apply options to disable Gutenberg, change login redirects, enable SVG uploads, set default avatar ALT text, control lazy loading, or disable embeds.

Set up and use the editor

Install the plugin through the standard WordPress extension workflow, then open its dashboard code editor and make a snippet. Select the code type, add the content, and pick how and where it should execute. Preview it in Test Mode when appropriate, then place it with the Gutenberg block or shortcode. Import and export tools can move snippets and settings between sites as a project develops.
