Build picture and video presentations in Gutenberg
Algori Video and Image Slider Premium adds controls to the Image & Video Slider block for creating sliders, carousels, slideshows, hero sections, and header presentations in WordPress posts and pages. Insert the block in Gutenberg, upload images or videos, or choose media from the WordPress media library. Then adjust the available settings in the block inspector.
Choose navigation and slide behavior
Choose from 14 dot styles and 14 arrow styles, and display or hide either navigation control. Enable or disable slideshow autoplay, pause it when users click, and adjust autoplay and animation speeds. Other settings include right-to-left or vertical direction, fade effects, lazy loading, center mode, and an infinite loop. You can show or scroll multiple slides, arrange slides in rows, and add text with a call-to-action button over the slider.
Set video playback and image alignment
Video settings include autoplay, muted playback, controls, and looping. For image sliders, select left, right, center, wide, or full-width alignment. These options let you adapt the presentation to a standard content area or a wider section of the page.
Use the slider across pages
- Present featured images in a homepage slideshow.
- Build a hero section with media, text, and a call-to-action button.
- Display product, portfolio, or project images in a carousel.
- Introduce a page or section with a header slider.
Install and configure
Install and activate the plugin, then open a post or page in the Gutenberg editor and insert the Image & Video Slider block. Upload media or select entries from the media library, configure navigation, playback, direction, animation, layout, and video settings in the block inspector, then publish the page.
The plugin works with Gutenberg and does not work with other page builders. Gutenberg-optimized themes are recommended. The source listing says the plugin has not been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases, so compatibility with newer releases may vary.
