Spotlight Essentials: Instagram Feed Layouts for WordPress

Spotlight Essentials includes the full set of layouts and customization options to Spotlight’s Instagram feeds for WordPress. Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account, create galleries, and add them to your website. Feeds can combine posts from multiple accounts, appear in several locations, or be configured separately. They update as new Instagram content is posted.

Layouts and media

Essentials includes all templates, layouts, and customization options, plus Instagram Stories and a dedicated Elementor widget. Start with a template or create a styling, then adjust columns, post count, picture ratio, and post order. Posts can be ordered by date, popularity, or at random. Feeds are responsive and can use separate settings for desktop, tablet, and phone. They inherit your theme’s fonts by default.

Feeds can show photos, videos, reels, and carousel posts. The lightbox shows larger photos and plays videos and reels while visitors stay on your website. Feed headers can display an account avatar and bio, and you can tailor and translate the Follow and Load more button text.

Placement and setup

Add a feed to a page or post, a widget area, or an Elementor layout. Use the Spotlight block, shortcode, or widget; Essentials also provides a dedicated Elementor widget. Image alt text is generated from each post’s caption.

1. Install and activate Spotlight in WordPress.
2. Choose a feed design or create a custom design.
3. Connect one or more Instagram Business or Creator accounts. Agencies and developers can use the Spotlight Access Token Generator so clients do not need to share login details.
4. Configure the layout and the content settings available with your plan.
5. Embed the feed with a block, shortcode, widget, or the Elementor widget included with Essentials.

PRO and Agency capabilities

Spotlight PRO includes Essentials and adds public hashtag feeds, tagged posts, combined feeds from different sources, caption and hashtag filters, and post moderation. It also adds link in bio pages and shoppable feeds, which can link posts to WooCommerce products, pages, or other URLs.

Spotlight Agency includes Free, Essentials, and PRO capabilities. It adds Instagram account and post insights, feed engagement and promotion analytics, Google Analytics integration, and media management for image and video quality and storage.
