Set Pre-Publish Rules with PublishPress Checklists Pro
PublishPress Checklists Pro places a task list beside WordPress posts and pages so authors can track what is left to do. Set each task to Disabled, Recommended or Required, and select who can ignore it. An unfinished required task can prevent publication. As authors complete tasks, the status changes from a red X to a green checkmark.

Set content and structure rules
Configure minimum or maximum character counts for titles and excerpts, and word counts for post content. You can prohibit selected heading tags from H1 through H6 and specify words that must not appear. Other checks can set counts for categories, tags or taxonomy terms, require or prohibit particular terms, and limit permalink characters.
Set minimum or maximum counts for internal and external links. Link validation checks whether links use a valid format; it does not check whether the destination page works.
Set review and publishing conditions
Require a specific publish time or a publish date in the future. Approval tasks can require approval from a particular user or from a user in a specified role.
Check images and other media
Require ALT text for images, with optional character limits, and set minimum or maximum counts for images and picture caption characters. Other tasks can require a featured image, ALT text or a caption for that image, and limits for its dimensions. You can also set counts for audio and video entries in a post. Accessibility checks can require one H1, headings in logical order and a header row in tables.
Configure WooCommerce product checks
For WooCommerce products, requirements can cover excerpt length, word count, product tags and categories, featured images and product images. You can also check product options such as Virtual, Downloadable, regular and sale prices, sale scheduling and discount, SKU, stock management, individual sales, backorders, upsells and cross-sells.
Use connected add-on data and OpenAI prompts
PublishPress Checklists Pro integrates with WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, All in One SEO, Rank Math SEO and Advanced Custom Fields. Requirements can use Yoast SEO and Readability checks, the SEO Score in Rank Math SEO, and the SEO Score or SEO Headline Score in All in One SEO. Advanced Custom Fields checks can require text-field character counts or an image field.
You can make checklist requirements with prompts for OpenAI to assess, such as whether content has correct grammar or the intended tone. If OpenAI judges that a requirement is unmet, the checklist marks it incomplete. Authors can also add custom tasks; more advanced requirements can be built with a custom add-on.
