Push Notifications for WP Pro

Configure WordPress push notifications

Push Notifications for WP Pro lets you send browser and mobile push notifications to subscribers from your WordPress dashboard. After activation, open Push Notification Options, connect your API, and set delivery and subscription preferences.

Choose when messages go out

Enable automatic alerts for selected post types when posts are published or updated. For other messages, compose a custom notification, select all subscribers or a specific audience, and send it now or schedule it for later. Pro supports iOS notifications, unlimited notifications, and segmentation: visitors can opt into alerts for selected categories or authors.

Configure delivery by visitor role, including Editor, Author, Contributor, or Subscriber. A notification limit can cap how many are sent during a defined time period.

Set subscription and browser settings

Choose where the subscription prompt appears, including selected pages, posts, categories, and tags. Customize its message and style, or add custom CSS. Choose from four predefined notification designs; the appearance may vary by device and browser.

On HTTPS sites, supported browsers include Chrome, Edge, Opera, and Firefox on desktop and Android, plus Safari on macOS. Push notifications work with or without a PWA setup.

Review activity and connect integrations

Campaign and audience reports help you review notification activity. The campaigns list shows sent messages, their status, and click statistics; the subscribers list includes active and expired subscribers. Add UTM parameters to notification links to track clicks.

Compatibility includes Polylang, PeepSo, Gravity Forms, BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, and Fluent Community. The pn_send_push_notification_filter function can send notifications from elsewhere, and the [pn_campaigns] shortcode displays a campaign list on the frontend.
