Turn Instagram posts into WordPress content

When you publish a photo or video on Instagram, Intagrate Pro can make WordPress content using your configured rules. For a photo, a post can use the Instagram caption as its title and place the image in its content, so a daily photo feature or selected campaign posts can appear on your website without manual embedding. As of December 2024, Instagram API changes mean only professional accounts, including Creator and Business accounts, can connect.

Choose the WordPress format and details

Publish imported media as posts, pages, or custom post types. Set the category, post format, and author, then use templates to shape titles and content with custom text and tags such as %%title%% and %%image%%. Intagrate Pro includes additional template tags and lets you limit the caption length used for a title. Instagram hashtags can become WordPress tags or entries in another custom taxonomy.

Manage media and publishing

Save Instagram pictures and videos to the WordPress Media Library, and use an imported image as the post’s featured image. Videos can show in a responsive HTML5 player, and posts containing multiple images or videos are supported. A moderation page lets you control which media is posted. Hashtag filters can select media by one or more hashtags and exclude images with specified hashtags.

Connect multiple Instagram accounts and apply the same or various publishing settings to each. Intagrate Pro also includes access to the connected account’s complete Instagram media history.

Set up the process

Install Intagrate Pro on your WordPress website, then log in to Instagram through the plugin’s settings page and connect a professional account. Configure the title and content templates, media handling, taxonomy, moderation, and publishing settings. New Instagram photos and videos can then be brought into WordPress according to those settings.
