Code blocks pair an editor with assignment controls
CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS offers a WordPress interface for writing and managing CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and HTML. Each code block has an editor and an assignment panel, where you select the site areas or requests that should receive the code. Use CSS to change a page’s appearance, PHP to add functionality, or JavaScript to make page interactions and add scripts such as analytics or chat widgets.
Manage blocks from a shared dashboard for front-end changes, instead of editing theme documents or relying on theme settings. You can select several locations for one block, and assign several blocks to the same locations.
Assignments range from individual content to website-wide areas
The assignment panel covers pages, posts, custom posts, tags, and categories. Its auxiliary targets include the entire website, the website backend, all pages, all posts, recent posts, the blog index, all categories, search pages, archives, tag archives, author archives, attachment pages, and 404 error pages.
PLUS includes premium placement options for broad areas such as the entire website and all posts. It also works with adding code through shortcodes, widgets, and Gutenberg blocks, plus assignment by tags, URLs, and regular expressions. The inverter can execute a block everywhere except the locations selected for exclusion. Eight additional hooks allow more precise assignments.
Tools for maintaining a code library
Code and script library management keeps blocks together. Editor tools include auto-complete, beautifying, and minifying code. The revisions system helps manage earlier versions of blocks, while backup and export/import options let you preserve or move the code library. The add-on is designed to handle hundreds of code blocks and thousands of locations, including pages, posts, categories, and custom posts.
Common uses and first setup
