Contact Form 7 Multi Step Pro extends Contact Form 7 by dividing a long form into steps or pages. Group related fields together and give each step a title that tells users what information it covers. Add as many steps as needed, and use the add-on on multiple forms on one WordPress site.

This layout suits quote requests, registrations, subscriptions, applications, reservations, event forms, and general requests. For example, a quote form can collect project details, contact information, and a final review in separate steps.

Create steps in the Contact Form 7 menu

The add-on provides a native interface within the Contact Form 7 menu. Add a tab to make a step, then switch between tabs to edit the fields assigned to each one. The interface uses Contact Form 7's built-in tags and settings.

Progress and review controls

The Pro edition includes controls for guiding visitors through the form and checking their entries:

• Progress bar: Show numbered steps, select a pre-built styling, and display percentage progress.
• Custom navigation: Add Back and Next buttons for moving between steps.
• Transition effects: Apply animations between form steps.
• Preview button: Let visitors review submitted data before sending the form.
• Show input: Add a tag that shows input data from previous fields and steps.
• Choose step: Let visitors choose a particular step to complete first.

Set up and review the form

Install and activate the add-on alongside Contact Form 7. Open a form, add tabs for the steps, and place the relevant fields in each one. Add step titles, configure the Pro navigation and display options, then insert functions such as a progress bar, preview button, or input display as needed.

Review the form as a visitor and check that the Back, Next, preview, and submission flow suits the process. The compatibility information lists Database for Contact Form 7 and WooCommerce Extensions. If you uninstall the add-on, the form returns to a single page with its fields and tags together.
