Extend customer verification in WooCommerce
CEV PRO includes anti-spam and identity checks to WooCommerce customer verification. Email OTP can verify access to an address during registration, while PRO adds screening and verification at other points in the customer journey, including checkout, cart, and login.
Screen disposable email and signup risk
Block temporary and throwaway email providers across more than 430 known domains. AI matching can identify newly appearing disposable domains, and DNS-based MX record validation checks whether an email domain has a working mail server before an OTP is sent.
Each signup can also receive an AI risk score from 0 to 100. The score represents signup risk and can help identify registrations for closer review, including addresses that appear ordinary. Bot-cluster detection looks for coordinated patterns across multiple signups.
Verify at checkout, in the cart, and at login
Require guest customers to verify their email by OTP before completing a purchase. Verification can also be triggered from the cart page, before the customer reaches checkout. CEV PRO supports WooCommerce’s classic and block-based checkout.
Phone verification is available by SMS OTP, instead of or alongside email verification, through MSG91, Twilio, Vonage, or WhatsApp. For account access, require OTP when a customer signs in from an unrecognized device or browser. Login rules can also consider a new location or a period of inactivity, or require OTP at every login.
Two-factor authentication can use Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator. Login notification emails can alert customers when their account is accessed.
Set rules for various customers
Use a domain allowlist to limit registrations to approved organizations, or block specific email addresses. Role-based rules let administrators set different verification requirements for different visitor roles. Paid-order gatekeeping can hold customer perks until a customer completes a first paid order.
Smart Form replaces the standard WooCommerce login and registration forms with branded layouts, using one of four ready-made templates. Polylang compatibility is available in PRO; the verification plugin also supports WPML.
Manage OTP settings and verification activity
Choose 4-digit or 6-digit OTP codes, set their validity period, and limit resend attempts per session. Customize OTP email templates and verification popup styling. The verification analytics dashboard tracks signups, verification rates, failed attempts, and blocked spam over time.
Administrators can manage verification status in the WordPress Users panel, manually verify users, and resend verification emails in bulk. PRO can send reminders to unverified customers at intervals you select, automatically remove stale unverified accounts on a daily schedule, and purge old verification log entries on a schedule. After a breach or list cleanup, administrators can return all verified accounts to unverified status in one action.
Setup and compatibility
Start with registration email verification, then enable checkout, cart, SMS, login, or two-factor settings to fit the shop’s customer journey. Review the popup, email, OTP, and resend settings before directing customers through registration or checkout. CEV PRO is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS). Priority support is included.
