Build search forms for WordPress content
VK Filter Search Pro lets you add search controls as blocks in the Gutenberg editor, without writing PHP. Place a form on a search results page or post archive, then choose whether it targets posts, pages, or a custom post type.
The Keyword Search Block can search post content. Taxonomy Search Blocks let visitors filter by categories, tags, or custom taxonomies used on your site.
Set filters and matching rules
Pro includes a Post Date Search Block for date filtering and Search Result Single Order for setting the order of individual results. Custom Field Search can filter information stored in custom fields; the capability is marked beta.
Taxonomy choices can appear as checkboxes or radio buttons. Checkbox filters can use AND logic, requiring a match for every selected term, or OR logic, accepting a match for any selected term. Taxonomy Search Blocks can also show post counts and terms with no postings.
Adjust labels and block widths
Set block widths for different screen sizes, and edit the labels for search entries and buttons to fit your site's wording. You can set any number of labels, with one label for each search entry.
Set up and review the form
Install VK Filter Search Pro, open the editor for the page or archive where the form should appear, and add the relevant Filter Search blocks. Choose a target post type and configure the available filters. Adjust labels, button text, and responsive widths, then review the results with your active theme. Theme CSS may affect how the controls look, and the theme determines the search results layout.
